MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR WILLIAM VINCENT WRIGHT

 

 

WHEREAS, William Vincent Wright (Billy) went to his eternal resting place on February 4, 2013; and

 

WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been notified of William Vincent Wright's passing by the Honorable Anthony Beale, Alderman of the 9,h Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, William Vincent Wright was born on May 30, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. Billy was the eighth of thirteen children born to the late Everett and Pauline Wright; and

 

WHEREAS, Billy attended D.S. Wentworth Elementary School and graduated from Francis W. Parker High School. He received his degree in Computer Operations from Robert F. White; and

 

WHEREAS, Billy married Valerie Simpson on October 13, 1984, and to that blessed union was born William Vincent Wright, Jr.; and

 

WHEREAS, Billy enjoyed spending time with family and friends grilling, watching sports, bowling, playing chess, dominoes, cards, or horseshoes. He also liked doing jigsaw puzzles; and

 

WHEREAS, Billy leaves to cherish his memory his son, William Vincent Wright; three brothers, Aaron, Everett and Roy (Ramona); five sisters, Audrey, Sharon, Vanessa (George), Verona and Deninne; two sisters-in-law, Sheila and Ellene; one godson, Quintin; two goddaughters, Danajah and Danisha; very special friend Diane Roby (Cleonta, C'Lea, Alayshia, Anna, Arra); and a host of relatives and friends; and

 

WHEREAS, Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Everett Wright; and four brothers, Jack, Alan, Clifton and Kenneth; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this twenty-sixth day of July, 2017, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of William Vincent Wright.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the family of William Vincent Wright as a sign of our deepest sympathy and respect.
