RESOLUTION HONORING KYLIE PEREZ'S LEMONADE STAND INITATIVE
WHEREAS, the 36th Ward has incredible residents who show some ofthe kindest hearts in the city to make our communities a better place; and,
WHEREAS, Kylie Perez, a four year old in the 36th Ward, wanted to host a lemonade stand on her block over Memorial Day Weekend; and,
WHEREAS, her parents assisted in running the stand and told her they would match her raised money for Lift for the 22, an organization that provides gym memberships and other assistance to the veteran community; and,
WHEREAS, Kylie was passionate about raising money for the veterans, since her dad is a Marine veteran, and offered to donate all of the money she raised to the veterans; and
WHEREAS, Kylie's lemonade stand was a great success, with the Montclare and Dunning communities coming out to support her; and,
WHEREAS, Kylie was offered to keep some ofthe money for herself, but selflessly took some of her own money to give more to Lift for the 22; and,
WHEREAS, Kylie is an inspiration to us all at just four years old; and,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members ofthe Chicago City Council, gathered here this 27th day of June, 2018, do hereby congratulate Kylie Perez and her parents on her selflessness and hard work; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Kylie
