RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING FRANK SCHMEDA FOR BRAVERY

WHEREAS, Frank Schmeda prevented a potential crime against an elderly person due to his intervention; and

WHEREAS, this esteemed body has been informed of this event by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and

WHEREAS, On January 31, 2016, Frank Schmeda saw a male exit the driver's side of a vehicle parked in his 87 year old neighbor's driveway. There were occupants in the front and back seat of the car; and

WHEREAS, the male went to the neighbor's front door asking if the dilapidated van in the driveway was for sale. Meanwhile, the passenger in the front seat moved over to the driver's seat.
