RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Edward J. Schmit Jr. has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the
age of to his eternal reward; and
                     ™ ™

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Edward J. Schmit Jr.; beloved husband of Debbie nee Edburg; loving father of Heidi (Anthony) Skokal, Eddie III (Brenda Restaino), Heather (Dominic) Jaroch, John (Maria) and Nick (Meagan): cherished papa of Eddie IV, Anthony Jr., Jillian, Joey, Peyton, Abigail, Giovanni, Vincent, Madi, Nino, Ava, Nicholas Jr., Dominique and Jennica; devoted son ofthe late Edward Sr. and the late Claudia Schmit; dear brother of the late Agnes Schmit and the late Rita Farrell; fond uncle and cousin of many; and

 

WHEREAS, Ed was a 1963 graduate of St. Rita HighSchool and a member ofthe Board of Directors, a member ofthe St. Joseph Club and a board member ofthe Valentine Boys and Girls Club. He was the proud owner ofthe Teddy Bear Day Care for 47 years; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Ed to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will1 never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this ninth of September 2020, do hereby express bur sorrow on the death of Edward J. Schmit, Jr. and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
