RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called James J. Concannon to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, James J. Concannon, Age 98, Navy WWII Veteran, Ret. Sgt. C.P.D. Cook County States Attorney Investigator and retired City of Chicago Finance Committee employee until age 95. Beloved husband of the late June (nee Peyton); loving father of Patricia, Michael, ret. Battalion Chief C.F.D. (the late Cheryl), Rosemary (Bud) Evans and James (Dena); devoted grandfather of Shawn, Assistant States Attorney (Sam Worley), Bryan and Justin Concannon and Matthew C.P.D., and Mark C.P.D. Evans; dear brother of the late Ray (the late Jean); fond brother-in-law of Richard (the late Dolores) Hammond and the late Edward (the late Adele) Peyton; also many nieces and nephews. James J. Concannon leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this eighteenth day of March, 2015, hereby express our sorrow on the death of James J. Concannon and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of James J. Concannon. 2
