R-E-S-O-L-U-T-l-O-N
WHEREAS, parents Eric Francisco Jonas and Alexandria Rene Jonas welcomed the birth of their first child on the seventh day of July, 2014; and
WHEREAS, on that date, Marilea Petra Jonas arrived, all six pounds, four ounces and stretching the tape to twenty inches; and
WHEREAS, the joy spread to the family's many dear friends and loving relatives, both near and far, who eagerly welcome a new member of a loving and dedicated family; and
WHEREAS, the Jonas family has deep roots in the city of Chicago: the father, Eric, a former resident of the Portage Park neighborhood of the 38th Ward, keeps dear to his heart his home and cherishes his upbringing on the northwest side of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, although the family has relocated, the community of this great city celebrate the birth of and welcome into their midst the youth in whom we place so much hope and trust; now therefore
Be it resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this day, do hereby extend our heartiest congratulations to the loving parents and proudly welcome their daughter, Marilea Petra Jonas, into the world, confident she will prosper and make many significant contributions to the world; and
Be it Further Resolved, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Marilea Petra Jonas.
