WHEREAS, Ralph J. Vari has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Ralph J. Vari; Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Lasker); loving father of Kelly Vari, and Amy (Michael) Carioscia; beloved son of the late Vito and Rose Vari; loving papa of Rocco and Nico; dear brother of Joseph J. Vari, Ron (Maxine) Vari, and the late Vickie (the late John) Haley; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; dear friend of all; and

WHEREAS, Ralph J. Vari was a Member of St. Albert the Great Knights of Columbus Council # 3935; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Ralph J. Vari to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twelfth day of December 2018, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Ralph J. Vari and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ralph J. Vari.
