RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Mary Saieva celebrated her 100^m Birthday on March 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Mary has been a lifelong Chicagoan and currently resides at 7254 W. Bryn Mawr in the 41^st Ward; and

WHEREAS, Alderman Ameya Pawar was made aware of Mary's centennial by her son and 47^lh Ward resident, Charles Saieva; and

WHEREAS, Mary married her husband Joseph on April 19, 1940, and together they raised their three children; and

WHEREAS, Mary has seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Mary has been active at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Mary is well-known for her cooking and baking of many Sicilian foods and her . sewing, knitting and crocheting of clothes and blankets for her family;

NOW, THEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Ameya Pawar, Alderman of the 47^th Ward, hereby ask that the 100^th Birthday of Mary Saieva be recognized by the City of Chicago. May she continue to celebrate more birthdays with her beloved family.
