WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz was a prominent Chicago architect and the loving husband of Maria; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz was the much-adored father of Gabriel, Laura and Hector to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz was the beloved son of Maria and the late Adolph and the dear brother of Ana; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz was a highly regarded Professor at Northern Illinois University and the founder of the architecture firm DesignBridge, Ltd.; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz received awards for excellence in architectural and interior design and his furniture designs were widely published; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz was a valued member of the American Institute of Architects and served for two terms as President of the Board of the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz served under Mayor Rahm Emanuel as a Commissioner for the Commission on Chicago Landmarks and under Mayor Richard M. Daley as a member of the City's Building Board of Appeals; and

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz serve as an example to all; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Victor Ignacio Dziekiewicz imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, the...
