RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, It is an absolute honor and indeed a privilege to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Mrs. Katie Whitlock, a resident in the 15" Ward; and,

 

WHEREAS, Congratulations for reaching 100 years of life! You should not only be congratulated for reaching 100, an amazing milestone in itself. You are truly a blessed person. You should be praised for the love, caring and wisdom you have given so generously every day. May your special day be filled with smiles, laughter and love, HappylOOth birthday to a very blessed and special person on this very special occasion; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mrs. Katie Watson was born to Willie and Viola Watson on December 22,1918 In Pickens Mississippi; and,

 

WHEREAS, Katie Watson met Alonzo Whitlock who later united in holy matrimony, from this union four wonderful children were born; and,

 

WHEREAS, she joined the Mount Calvary Church in 1955. Where she served on the mother's board. She enjoyed reciting poems and singing; and,

 

WHEREAS, She was a dedicated employee at Crittenden Hospital in West Memphis Arkansas for sixteen years; and,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the members of City Council will standin unison on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, A.D. as they wish Mrs. KATIE WHITLOCK peace of mind and strength in her body on her 100th birthday and years to come; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy ofthis resolution be prepared and presented to KATIE WHITLOCK in honor of her 100th Birthday as a token of ouj^esteer/nm~d>good wishes.
