MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR FRANK EDELMAN
WHEREAS, Frank Edelman has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 90; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Gilbert Villegas, Alderman of the 36th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Frank Edelman was a widely admired member of the legal community and loving husband for 51 years to Sunny, nee Gitlitz; and
WHEREAS, Frank F,delman was the much-adored father of Anne Larsen, Bernard and Charles and the grandfather of six to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Frank Eldelman specialized in real estate tax law and generously gave of his time and talents to perform pro bono work for V.F.W. halls and other worthy causes; and
WHEREAS, Frank Edelman inspired the lives of countless people through his great personal goodness, charity and concern; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Frank Edelman serves as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Frank Edelman was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remember by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Frank Edelman imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this twenty-second day of June, 2016, do hereby commemorate Frank Edelman for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution are presented to the family of Frank Edelman as a sign of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
