RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden has gone to her eternal reward at the age of 57; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Hoffman Estates, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden was a widely respected government relations executive and the loving wife for nearly 20 years of Charles Burhan; and
WHEREAS, Born in Billings, Montana, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden was the daughter of the late Martha and Edward; and
WHEREAS, Influenced by her grandfather, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden became interested at an early age in political affairs and earned a bachelor's degree in political science and labor studies from Oregon State University; and
WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden joined Bank of America in 2001 where she was a senior vice president responsible for all state and local legislative agendas in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden worked with elected officials across the Midwest and was highly respected by her peers for her professionalism, dedication and experience in government relations; and
WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden was instrumental in persuading Bank of America to support After School Matters, an organization founded by Maggie Daley that offers teens ways to explore their talents in the arts, communications, science, sports and technology; and •
WHEREAS, Prior to joining Bank of America, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden was Vice President of State Affairs for the American Insurance Association; and
WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden was a member of the board of the State Government Affairs Council, a professional lobbyist organization; and
WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" M. Holden became President of the Industry Advisory Council of the National Council of Insurance Legislators after serving for several terms on its board of directors; and
