, Mr. Christopher Dluhy will retire from the Office of the City Clerk on January 31,2019, after thirty-three years of dedicated service to the people of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this joyous occasion by the Honorable Anna M. Valencia, City Clerk; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Dluhy is the son of Mr. Michael Dluhy and Mrs. Lorraine Dluhy. He has two siblings, Mrs. Alicia Pondel and Mr. Michael Dluhy and four nephews, one niece, two great-nephews, and beloved dogs Dino and Chiquita; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Christopher Dluhy is currently a resident of the Mount Greenwood neighborhood. He Graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory. He then attended Saint Louis University and obtained a degree in theater. Mr. Dluhy has served six City Clerks. Prior to joining the Office of the City Clerk, Mr. Dluhy worked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office at 26th and California; and

WHEREAS, During his time in the Office of the City Clerk, Mr. Dluhy prepared the aldermanic payroll and managed purchasing invoices for the City Clerk's Office. He earned a reputation for being a focused and dedicated team member, setting a great example for others to follow. He is truly admired by many for his kindness, professionalism and devotion; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Dluhy is an avid traveler, animal lover and Facebook user. He has visited twenty-seven countries; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Dluhy has been a great employee possessing a wealth of knowledge about the Clerk's Office and he will be deeply missed by everyone in the office; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this twenty-third day of January, 2019, do hereby congratulate Mr. Christopher Dluhy on his retirement from public service and do hereby extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes in all of his future endeavors; and
