RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Sue Brady has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Sue Brady was a former suburban elected official and the loving wife of the late Charles Anthony "Tony"; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Sue Brady was the much-adored mother of Eileen, Beth, Chip, Neal and Brian and the grandmother of seventeen to whom she imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that she possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Sue Brady was the dear sister of John and Jan; and
WHEREAS, Raised in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, the Honorable Sue Brady graduated from St. Scholastica Academy and Mundelein College; and
WHEREAS, In the early 1970s, the Honorable Sue Brady became involved in politics as a volunteer for then-Congressman Abner Mikva; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Sue Brady contributed greatly to her community by working for Hull House where she managed scattered site housing programs under a.,contract with the Chicago Housing Authority; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Sue Brady went on to pursue her own career in the public sector and served two terms as an Evanston Alderman; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication Of the Honorable Sue Brady serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Sue Bardy will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Sue Brady imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-first day of January, do hereby commemorate Sue Brady for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sue Brady.
