MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Kathleen L. Calicchio, nee Florentino, on March 10, 2015 at the age of eighty-nine; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (nee Pompilio) Florentino was born on May 4, 1925. Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas; loving mother of Ronnie (Dorothy) and Patti Calicchio-Taylor; fond grandmother of Lauren and Samantha; dear sister of Vee and the late Ralph (Aria) Florentino; and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Kathleen leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, An active and vital member of her community, Kathleen touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, her generosity, her heart and her spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her, now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this fifteenth day of April 2015, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Kathleen L. Calicchio and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
