RESOLUTION

 

 

 

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Angelo P. Biondo to his eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Angelo P. Biondo, age 92, Navy WWII veteran, recipient of 8 battle stars serving aboard the USS Salt Lake City in the Pacific. Beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Battaglia). Loving father of Bernard (Sharon), Bill, Bob (Carol), Johnny (Kathy) and Jim (Laura). Proud grandfather of Julie, Jessie, Nicole, Amy, Ashley, Theresa, Gina, Angela, Kelly, Tony, Kaitlin, Anne Marie, Jimmy and Brian. Great grandfather of Beatrice and Audrina. Dearest brother of Angie (the late William) Miller, Marcella (the late Paul) Brown, Peter (Patricia) Biondo, the late Mary (the late Ralph) Frale and Sally (the late Vincent) Marino. Also many nieces and nephews. Retired 65 year member of Cement Finishers Union Local 502, member of Carpenters Union Local 1889 and Beverly Post #407 A.L. Angelo taught cement finishing at the Washburn Trade School for 10 years, graduate of Visitation Grammar School, Tilden Tech H.S., Associate degree from Illinois Institute of Technology on the Gl Bill and was an avid piano player, master gardener and a longtime amateur ham radio operator. Angelo P. Biondo leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this fourteenth day of December, 2016, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Angelo P. Biondo and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
