RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Richard J. Zilka Sr. to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Richard J. Zilka Sr. Beloved Husband of Marie nee Grupenhagen. Loving Father of Patty (Dale) Biniewicz, Michael (Kristen Reed) Zilka and Rick (Mary Eklund) Zilka. Proud Grandfather of Michael (Jenny) Zilka, Robert (Diana) Biniewicz, Daniel (April) Biniewicz, Amy Biniewicz and Lauren (Matt) Humbrecht. Great Grandfather of Michael, Quinn, Ben, Owen and Miles. Fond Brother of Georgian Kunde. Uncle of many Nieces and Nephews. President and current Executive Director ofthe Clearing Civic League, Midway Garden Society and St. Rene Senior Club. Richard J. Zilka Sr. leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this tenth day of February, 2016, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Richard J. Zilka Sr. and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
