WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer has started his life hereafter on the 20,h day of July 2018 at the age of 89; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was the loving and devoted husband of LoriLei Kramer; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was the cherished and much-loved father of Randall Kramer, Michael Kramer, Aaron Kramer, and Robyn Kramer and stepfather of Steve Vidibor and Lynn Basson; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was the proud grandfather of Jordan Dollinger, Emma Kramer, and Ana Kramer; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was a Chicago native who grew up in the Wicker Park and went to Crane Tech High School and Roosevelt College; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was known for his ability to tell great stories and schmooze with the best of them; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was an emcee and helped put together shows for his fellow soldiers during his military service and filmed a USO show starring Danny Kaye; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer worked as a jeweler in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was a big fan of WBEZ and volunteered at The Radio Station after he retired; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer was an Ambassador for Chicago in his capacity as a "Greeter" and Tour Guide for The Cultural Center; and
WHEREAS, Edward "Eddie" Kramer touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew him; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this 20th day of September, do hereby honor the life and memory of Edward "Eddie" Kramer; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward "Eddie" Kramer as a sign of our sympathy and good wishes.
