RESOLUTION


WHEREAS, The Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 83; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro was a former member of the DuPage County Board and the loving husband of the late Phyllis; and

WHEREAS, The son of a hardware salesman, the Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro was born October 4, 1931, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro was raised in Glen Ellyn where he attended Glenbard High School and met his future wife; and

WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, the Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro became involved in government while operating an auto and tire shop; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro ably served for 14 years as a member of the DuPage County Board where he was known for his knowledge of government and strong civic commitment; and

WHEREAS, During his esteemed tenure, the Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro oversaw the formation of the county's solid waste and stormwater management committees; and

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro serve as an example to all; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

WHEREAS, To his two sons, Chip and Rob, his three grandchildren, and his two brothers, Charlie and Larry, the Honorable R. Lloyd Renfro imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
