Honoring Laurie Sedio On Her Retirement
WHEREAS, Laurie Sedio, Executive Director at Metropolitan Family Services at Midway, retired on Friday November 4, 2022, after 35 years of committed and outstanding service to Southwest Side of Chicago communities and,
WHEREAS, Laurie began her career with Metropolitan Family Services as a counselor, providing support to local families on a variety of issues, and through dedicated service, advanced through the ranks to this present position; and
WHEREAS, Laurie has performed her duties throughout her years of service in a conscientious and responsible manner; and
WHEREAS, Laurie has consistently responded with ingenuity, imagination and foresight to the needs of southwest side of Chicago communities, bringing real solutions to those in need; and
WHEREAS, Laurie has set an example of dedication and loyalty which has been an inspiration to her fellow community stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, Laurie in all her endeavors has reflected the mission of Metropolitan Family Services to provide and mobilize the services needed to strengthen families and communities - southwest side of Chicago communities. Therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that we, the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, do hereby extend to Laurie Sedio our sincere and grateful appreciation for her dedicated service to the communities ofthe Southwest Side of Chicago and to the clients of Metropolitan Family Services, our congratulations on her well-earned retirement, and our best wishes to her and her family for continued success, happiness and good health in the years to come.
