ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, On February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, pursuant to which the City has received Federal stimulus funding for a variety of important purposes, which were duly appropriated in the Community Development Block Grant - Recovery ("CDBG-R") Ordinance passed by the City Council on October 7, 2009, which ordinance appears at pages 72409 through 72416 of the Journal of Proceedings of that date; and
WHEREAS, The City, through its Department of Housing and Economic Development ("DHED"), desires to appropriate an additional $1,753,000 generated during fiscal year 2012 from DHED's CDBG-R Troubled Building Initiative Distressed Condominium Program, and to use those additional funds in that Program; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. The CDBG-R Ordinance, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures as indicated in Exhibit A attached hereto.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
