TRIBUTE TO LATE BARBARA MC CALL Eli
 
 
WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom and judgment has called Barbara McCalleb,  from this life to eternity on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the age of 77.; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Toni L. Foulkes, Alderman ofthe 15lh Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Barbara was born in Chicago on January 28, 1935 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Kinnard and Marion Allen. She was the fourth often children. She received her education through the Chicago Public School system and graduated from DuSable High School. She was married lo Charles Travis Sr. and to that union three children were born. After the death of her first husband, Barbara married Mr. Obea McCalleb and lo that union one son was born. Barbara retired from the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad after many dedicated years of service; and
 
WHEREAS, Barbara McCalleb leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life, three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene (Frank), Lee (Sharon) Hayes, Phyllis (Norvell) Hayes; sons, Charles (Laura) Travis, Jr., Mark (Tamika) McCalleb and Obea Hayes; 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence Allen. Waller (Helen) Allen, Melvin Allen, and Clifford (Karen) Allen; god-son, Ronnie Jackson, her special friend, Theora Campbell and a host of other relatives and many friends: and
 
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Barbara McCalleb imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this third day of October 2012. A.D., do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Barbara McCalleb and extend to her family and loved ones our sincere condolence.
 
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented lo the family of Barbara McCalleb.
