RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Eugene Golub has been named the recipient of the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Urban Land Institute of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this event by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Golub is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Golub & Company; and
WHEREAS, Under the leadership and guidance of Eugene Golub, the Golub companies have owned, developed and operated more than 30 million square feet of properties in the United States and abroad and achieved more than $8 billion in real estate transactions; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his highly distinguished career, Eugene Golub has earned a reputation as a business leader capable of acting swiftly to capitalize on emerging real estate opportunities; and
WHEREAS, In 1999 Eugene Golub was inducted into the prestigious Chicago Association of Realtors Hall of Fame, and in 2004 he received the first Central & Eastern European Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award; and
WHEREAS, Eugene Golub's entrepreneurial skills and engaging spirit extend well beyond the company to his many philanthropic efforts and civic contributions; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Eugene Golub serve as an example to all; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eighth day of November, 2012, do hereby congratulate Eugene Golub on receiving this prestigious honor and do hereby extend our warmest and best wishes for his continued success; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Eugene Golub. /
