WHEREAS, The Engine Company 79 / Ambulance 92, Third Shift of the Chicago Fire Department was chosen by the Mayfair Veterans Committee and the Mayfair Lions Club to be honored for outstanding public service; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this outstanding achievement by Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Engine Company 79 / Ambulance 92, Third Shift was honored at the Salute to American Heroes ceremony and celebration on Sunday, November 4th, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Engine Company 79 / Ambulance 92, which began in the 1800's as part of a Volunteer Fire Department, now has grown to three shifts. The Third Shift is made up of Captain George Zaccagnini, Michael J. Flaherty, Richard J. Hardt, Roger Perez, William G. Proctor, Miriam Rodriguez, Wesley S. Sienkiewicz, Leonard D. Urbanski, Raymond J. Wenholz; and
WHEREAS, The members of Engine Company 7 9/ Ambulance 92, Third Shift are commended for their outstanding honor and commitment to the community; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, gathered here this eighth day of November 2012, do hereby congratulate the members of Engine Company 79 / Ambulance 92, Third Shift of the Chicago Fire Department on this achievement and wish them continuing success; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the members of Engine Company 79 / Ambulance 92, Third Shift.
