Re: 2013 Municipal Depository Report and Notification
Section 2-32-400 of the Municipal Code provides for an annual advertisement for bids for municipal depositories. On November 30, my office advertised in the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times inviting financial institutions not previously designated, to apply for status as municipal depositories for the City and for the Board of Education for the year 2013. No additional banks have submitted bids in response to the advertisement.
The current designated municipal depositories are those that were approved by City Council on May 12, 2010.
This memorandum serves as notice per Section 2-32-400 of the Municipal Code.
This memorandum is being provided to the City Clerk, with a request that it be placed on file, and to the Committee on Finance as the appropriate representative committee of the City Council for this matter.
