Resolution for Malinda Lynn
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago are hereby informed ofthe passing of Malinda Lynn, a faithful 7th Ward resident, by Alderman Sandi Jackson, and
WHEREAS, Malinda Lynn, was born September 19,1923 in Sharkey County, MS to Henderson Green and Fannie Boyd Green; and
WHEREAS, Malinda Lynn religiously demonstrated a strong faith in GOD and love for people, she left an indelible imprint on the countless individuals she worshipped with and worked in partnership with
WHEREAS, Malinda Lynn., is survived by her daughter Faye, her son Lonzo, her stepdaughter Lillye Lynn; her sister Rebecca Holmes; brother-in-law Claiborn Holmes; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends from coast to coast; and
WHEREAS, Malinda Lynn will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character will live on in those who knew and loved her; now and therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago, gathered here this January 17, 2013, do hereby express our sorrow due to the death of Malinda Lynn and extend to her fami|y,and friends our deepest sympathy, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the
family of Malinda Lynn.
