SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2013 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to the City for various purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $250,000 by One Chicago Fund which shall be used for the Chicago Cultural Center Restoration/Renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the City, through its Department of TransportationfCDOT") has been awarded additional state grant funds in the amount of $200,000 from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity ("DCEO") which shall be used for DCEO Grant Roadway Beautification and Enhancement Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $16,951,000 by the Federal Highway Administration ("FHWA") which shall be used for the Surface Transportation Federal Construction Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded state grant funds in the amount of $8,434,000 by the Illinois Department of Transportation ("IDOT") which shall be used forthe Surface Transportation State Construction Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $1,050,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Surface Transportation Federal Engineering Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded state grant funds in the amount of $263,000 by the IDOT which shall be used for the Surface Transportation State Engineering Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $96,818,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Highway Bridge Federal Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded state grant funds in the amount of $24,400,000 by the IDOT which shall be used for the Highway Bridge State Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $1,189,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Federal Section 117 Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $800,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Federal Section 115 Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $1,041,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Federal Section 112 Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $279,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Federal 2006 Surface Transportation Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $24,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the Federal 2006 Highway Priority Program; and
WHEREAS, the City through CDOT has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $716,000 by the FHWA which shall be used for the IGO Peer to Peer Car Sharing Program; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. The sum of $152,415,000 not previously appropriated, representing increased grant awards is hereby appropriated from Fund 925 - Grant Funds for the year 2013. The Annual Appropriation Ordinance is hereby amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures indicated in the attached Exhibit A which is hereby made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. To the extent that any ordinance, resolution, rule, order or provision of the Municipal Code of Chicago, or part thereof, is in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, the provisions of this ordinance shall control. If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity of such section, paragraph, clause or provision shall not affect any of the other provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 3 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
