BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1: On behalf of the City of Chicago as Landlord, the Commissioner of the Department of Fleet and Facility Management is authorized to execute a Lease with the Chicago Fire Department African-American Firefighter Museum, NFP, as Tenant, governing the use of a building located at 5349 South Wabash Avenue; such Lease to be approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel in substantially the following form:

LEASE

THIS LEASE ("Lease"), is made and entered into this day
of , 2013 ("Commencement Date) by and between, THE CITY OF
CHICAGO, an Illinois Municipal Corporation and Home Rule Unit of Government (herein referred to as "Landlord" or "City"), and CHICAGO FIRE DEPARTMENT AFRICAN-AMERICAN FIREFIGHTER MUSEUM, NFP, an Illinois Not-for-profit Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tenant").

RECITALS

WHEREAS, Landlord has agreed to lease to Tenant, and Tenant has agreed to lease from Landlord, the decommissioned fire station located at 5349 South Wabash Avenue comprised of approximately 5,488 square feet of building space as legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof (the "Premises"); and

WHEREAS, the Premises were previously used as the Chicago Fire Department's Engine Company #61 of and these City operations were consolidated into a new facility located at 53 East Pershing Road; and

WHEREAS, the Premises have no further or foreseeable municipal use; and
