SALUTE TO TONY BERNARD

WHEREAS, Tony Bernard, an outstanding musical talent and member of his community, has been entertaining audiences for more than three decades; and

WHEREAS, Tony Bernard's infectious and charismatic entertainment style infuses his vocal selections that range from "golden oldies" to today's hit tunes. His innate ability to interact with the crowd is what captivates his fans; and

WHEREAS, Tony Bernard performs at numerous venues throughout the year such as VFWs, high schools, restaurants, cafes, lounges, senior centers, and various civic events. In addition, Tony donates his musical talent for many events and causes; and

WHEREAS, For the past three years, Tony Bernard has performed at the 33rd Ward Back-To-School Block Party, thrilling both the young and old with his exciting and energetic show; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Richard F. Mell, Alderman of the 33^rd Ward, has apprised this august body of Tony Bernard's noteworthy talents and praiseworthy civic contributions; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, assembled here this 13^th day of March 2013 AD, salute song stylist Tony Bernard and extend our heartfelt thanks for donating his time and talents so generously.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Tony Bernard.
