Please be advised that responsive to authority contained in an Ordinance (the "Ordinance") adopted by the City Council (the "City Council") of the City of Chicago (the "City") on September 27, 2007, authorizing the issuance of up to $900,000,000 aggregate principal amount of general obligation bonds of the City plus original issue discount, the City issued its $312,540,000 General Obligation Bonds, Project and Refunding Series 2007C, $18,350,000 General Obligation Bonds, Taxable Series 2007D, $100,000,000 General Obligation Variable Rate Demand Bonds, Refunding Series 2007E, $80,000,000 General Obligation Variable Rate Demand Bonds, Refunding Series 2007F, and $20,000,000 General Obligation Variable Rate Demand Bonds, Refunding Series 2007G (collectively, the "Bonds") pursuant to a Bond Purchase Agreement entered into with Loop Capital Markets, LLC, as representative of certain underwriters on October 25, 2007, providing for the sale of the Bonds, by the City's Chief Financial Officer, with the concurrence of the Chairman of the Committee on Finance of the City Council, each of the Bonds being dated their date of issuance.
Capitalized terms used herein without definition have the meanings assigned to such terms in the Ordinance.
Notification of the sale of the Bonds to the City Council and of the determinations
made by the Chief Financial Officer of the City with respect to the sale of the Bonds, the filing of
the Bond Purchase Agreement, and the Official Statement for the Bonds, all as provided for or
required by the Ordinance was made by the filing with the City Clerk of a Notification Of Sale
issued by the Chief Financial Officer on the date of issuance of each of the BBflE&^B(ii&ftd-

Please be further advised that Section 7 of the Ordinance provides for a direct annual tax in and for each of the years 2007 to 2040, inclusive, to pay the interest on the Bonds promptly when and as the same falls due and to pay and discharge the principal thereof at maturity. 1 have determined that the amount of the tax levy in the years 2012 to 2040, inclusive as indicated in the table below, is deemed desirable and authorized by the Ordinance. The amount of the taxes levied in the Ordinance to pay debt service on the Bonds is as follows:
