BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF CHICAGO CITY COUNCIL:
 
SECTION 1. Section 4-108-065 of the Municipal Code of the City i if Chicago by adding new language underlined as follows:
 
 
4-108-065 Self-service filling station requirements.
  1. Every licensee operating a self-service filling ste tion shall comply with the following requirements:
 
[1]    All self-service dispensing equipment shall be under the supervision of an attendant at all rim« s that the establishment is open to the public.
 
(2J    Upon request, a self-service filling stai ion attendant shall assist an unaccompanied physic; lly handicapped person, senior citizen or other person who is unable to safely refuel or recharge a motor vehi :le.
 
(3)     any filling station owner whc limits tl e amount of gas that can be purchased on a properly authorize d debit or credit card transaction shall be fined $1.500 per i iffense.
  1. The commissioner may waive the requirements of this section for filling stations that are not open to the genera; public.
 
SECTION 2, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon ts passage and publication.
