ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Chapter 4-244-140 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by adding the language underscored as follows:

4-244-140 Prohibited districts.
(a) No one having a peddler's license shall peddle any merchandise or any other article or thing whatsoever, at any time, within districts which have been or shall be hereafter designated by the city council. A description of such districts shall be kept in the office of the city clerk.

(25) Peddling is prohibited at any time within the 23rd Ward boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of South Narragansett Avenue and West 65th Street; thence west on West 65th Street to South Harlem Avenue: thence north on South Harlem Avenue and following the city limit line to the Adlai E. Stevenson Expressway (I-55); thence northeast on the Adlai E. Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to South Cicero Avenue: thence south on South Cicero Avenue to West 43rd Street: thence east on West 43rd Street to the centerline of the Belt Railway of Chicago: thence south on the centerline of the Belt Railway of Chicago to West 47th Street: thence east on West 47th Street to South Kedvale Avenue: thence south on South Kedvale Avenue to West 51st Street; thence east on West 51st Street and West 51st Street extended and West 51st Street to the centerline of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad: thence south on the centerline of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad to West 55th Place: thence west on West 55th Place to South Pulaski Road; thence north on South Pulaski Road to West 55th Street; thence west on West 55th Street to the centerline of the Belt Railway of Chicago: thence south on the centerline of the Belt Railway of Chicago to West 59th Street; thence west on West 59th Street to South Cicero Avenue: thence south on South Cicero Avenue to West 63rd Street: thence west on West 63rd Street to So...
