ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, At the meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago ("City Council")
held on February 13, 2013, an ordinance was introduced at the request of the Commissioner of
Housing and Economic Development that authorized the expenditure of Open Space Impact Fee
Funds for Armstrong and Hearst Schools, 02013-873 ("the Ordinance"). The Ordinance was
referred to the Committee on Special Events, Cultural Affairs and Recreation ("the Committee");
and , .'
WHEREAS, Before the Committee held a hearing on the Ordinance - it was discovered that the Ordinance contained erroneous references to an incorrect Community Area; and
WHEREAS, In light of the error, a substitute for the Ordinance was prepared ("the
Substitute Ordinance"), and the Substitute Ordinance (SO2013-873) was transmitted to the
Committee; and j,
WHEREAS, On April 4, 2013, the Committee held a hearing, at which the Committee accepted the Substitute Ordinance in lieu of the Ordinance, then voted in favor of passage of the Substitute Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, At the meeting ofthe City Council held on April 10, 2013, the Chairman of the Committee delivered his committee report, in which he recommended passage of the Substitute Ordinance. However, due to an administrative error, the document that was transmitted to the City Clerk, and subsequently printed by the Clerk in the Journal of Proceedings, was the Ordinance, as opposed to the Substitute Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, It is necessary and appropriate to correct the above-described error, such that the Substitute ordinance is correctly reflected as the item that the Committee approved and the City Council passed; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. The Journal of Proceedings of April 10, 2013 is hereby, corrected by replacing Exhibits A and B, appearing at pages 51278 through 513Q0 of said Journal, with the pages attached hereto as Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
