Resolution Honoring Mercedes Prause, 2010 Mayor Daley Landscape Award

WHEREAS, on November 6, 2010, community leaders, residents, and businesses from throughout the City of Chicago gathered to celebrate Mayor Daley's 2010 Landscape Awards; and,

WHEREAS, the Mayor's Landscape Awards highlights the horticultural achievements of residents, businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations in the City of Chicago; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Chicago, through the efforts of Mayor Daley, the City Council, and many City departments, is committed to the ongoing beautification of our City through landscaping efforts; and,

WHEREAS, Mercedes Prause, of 3854 N. Hamilton in Chicago's 47^th Ward, has been honored with the prize of 2^nd Place for a Single Family Residential building as a part of this year's awards;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this 10^th Day of November, 2010 A.D. do hereby extend our sincere congratulations to Mercedes Prause and our gratitude to the contributions made to our community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Mercedes Prause.
