RESOLUTION
 
WHEREAS, on May 24, 2014, Megan Maureen Korczynski and Kevin P. Gow Jr. will be united in holy matrimony; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Council has been apprised of this momentous occasion by Alderman Deborah Mell ofthe 33rd Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Megan is the daughter of Diane M. and Edwin J. "SKI" Korczynski; and
 
WHEREAS, Kevin is the son of Kevin P. Gow Sr. and the late Lynne Dwight Gow; and
 
WHEREAS, the father ofthe Bride, Edwin J. "SKI" Korczynski, is a member ofthe 33rd Ward Organization who has been honored by the Illinois General Assembly, the United States Congress and the U.S. Department of Defense for his patriotic service as a Civilian Reserve Air Fleet pilot during Operation Desert Storm
 
WHEREAS, the Bride and Groom share more than their love, hope and happiness: both their fathers are retired, distinguished members of the United State Marine Corps, meaning that dedication, loyalty and integrity - qualities that are truly necessary to a successful marriage - are part of their upbringing; and
 
WHEREAS, as their wedding date approaches, the happy couple are filled with joyful anticipation, which is enhanced by the knowledge that their friends and families share their joy; and
 
WHEREAS, amid the challenges of governing a major city, it is appropriate to recall that love, family and commitment are the most important features of a blessed life; now, therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago, assembled this 30th day of April, 2014, do hereby congratulate Megan Maureen Korczynski and Kevin P. Gow Jr. on their upcoming marriage, and we wish them a long, happy and prosperous life together; and
