BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
 
 
SECTION 1. Title 17 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Chicago zoning ordinance, is hereby amended by changing all the RS-3 Residential Single Unit (Detached House) District symbols and indications as shown on Map No. 1 -H in the area bounded by
North Hartland Court; a line 185.19 feet south of and parallel to West Ohio Street; the alley next east of and parallel to North Hartland Court, and a line 162.20 feet south of and parallel to West Ohio Street
 
 
to those of a RM-5 Residential Multi-Unit District.

The undersigned, Michael Pildes, being first duly sworn on oath deposes and states the following:
 
The undersigned certifies that he has complied with the requirements of Section 17-13-0107 of the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, by sending written notice to such property owners who appear to be the owners of the property within the subject area not solely owned by the applicant, and to the owners of all property within 250 feet in each direction of the lot lone of the subject property, exclusive of public roads, streets, alleys and other public ways, or a total distance limited to 400 feet. Said "written notice" was sent by First Class U.S. Mail, no more than 30 days before filing the application.

The applicant/property owner seeks to use the subject property to build a single-family home. The one family home will have approximately 3,327 square feet in building space and an attached 2-car garage. A zoning change from RS-3 to RM-5 is needed to build the four-story single-family house with fifth level rooftop stairway enclosure.
