ORDINANCE


WHEREAS, the City of Chicago (the "City") is a home rule municipality as described in Section 6 (a), Article VII of the 1970 Constitution of the State of Illinois, and as such may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs; and
WHEREAS, the City, through its Department of Planning and Development ("DPD") and the Chicago Park District (the "Park District"), an Illinois municipal corporation each desire to enter into an agreement whereby the City through DPD will reimburse the Park District for certain capital costs incurred by the Park District for the improvements for Steelworkers Park in the Southworks Industrial TIF; now, therefore,


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

Section 1. Recitals. The above recitals are incorporated by reference as if fully set forth
herein.
Section 2. Authority. Subject to the approval of the Corporation Counsel, the Commissioner of DPD (the "Commissioner") or a designee of the Commissioner are each hereby authorized to execute and deliver the Agreement between the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District concerning Steelworkers Park (the "Agreement") in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A_ with such changes, deletions and insertions thereto as the Commissioner or the Commissioner's designee ...
