Dear Alderman Carrie Austin:
It is with great pleasure that we write to you. You are doing such an excellent job in the 34th Ward. My name is Apostle Bridget C. Outlaw and I am a product of the Roseland Community and a product of the Chicago Public School System in that area. My members and I take great pleasure to thank you for your hard work and your strong stance on promoting Community Partnerships for the last 20 years.
Thank you for allowing us to help strengthen the 34th ward where I was born and raised. I count it as a privilege and honor to work in this community to help empower the community that I grew to love. I am the Senior Pastor of New Global Destiny Int'l World Vision Ministries, Inc. and I have been instrumental in church planting 173 churches all across the Globe.
I have been a strong advocate in the Roseland Area for the past 25 years. I am the Executive Director of Daughters of Destiny Enterprises which is a 501 c3 Not for Profit Hub that helps empower low income families, those who live below the poverty line, seniors with disabilities, as well as at-risk youth in the Cook County area.

I lived in the 34th Ward for over 20 years and I have been a strong Social Advocate in the 34th Ward. I was instrumental in bringing many resources to the 34th Ward when the late Alderman Lemuel Austin Sr. was over the ward. When he was in office we would feed the homeless and low income families in that area in West Pullman Park between the years 1988-1993.
During that era we hosted numerous toy drives for the people in the 34th ward at Starlight St James Missionary Baptist Church, 11300 South State, under Pastor I. Barrett. The members of the church opened the church and allowed us to host numerous toy drives which over 500 people came out to the toy drives to receive toys for their kids during Christmas. We have still been Instrumental in providing toys, food and clothes through the Starlight St James Missionary Baptist Church with the help of the Deacon Board and Deacon Christopher Milton from 1998 to the present. Many of the residents in the 34th Ward come to get food from the DOD Hunger Relief "Client Choice" Food Pantry. We have hosted the Food Pantry every Wednesday for the last five years. We will be hosting the Toy Drive this year, as well, in the 34th Ward. We have been instrumental passing out over 20,000 toys to date and we will continue to advocate making the Roseland Community Stronger and Empowered.
Please advise us any additional information that may be needed. Yours sincerely,
Apostle Bridget C. Outlaw and the
