Section 1. Pursuant o Section 11-12-540 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Commissioner of Water Management is hereby authorized and directed to cancel existing water and sewer assessments, notwithstanding other ordinances of the City of Chicago to the contrary, assessed against The Newberry Library located at 60 West Walton Street (Account Number 442260-442260)

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
