RESOLUTION HONORING JEWISH B2B NETWORKING
WHEREAS, Jewish B2B Networking held the annual Business Event on October 30, 2014 at Block 37 with outstanding attendance and to tremendous success; and
WHEREAS, this esteemed body has been informed of this occasion by the Honorable Jason Ervin, Alderman ofthe 28th Ward; and
WHEREAS, unemployment is an issue that effects individuals and families across Chicago, and Jewish B2B has taken the initiative to coordinate efforts to connect prospective employees to employers; and
WHEREAS, Jewish B2B was founded in June 2010 to connect and empower small business, service the needs of individuals in transition, and develop programming that has brought people together to find work in a difficult job market and economic climate; and
WHEREAS, small businesses are vital to the City of Chicago's economic prosperity, and Chicago was proud to be the home ofthe 2014 Business Event, which attracted over 5,000 people, 100 vendors, and 30 employment recruiters; and
WHEREAS, the service to the community that Jewish B2B provides is crucial and important, and the effects of this organization's success are felt throughout the community; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this 19th day of November, 2014, do hereby congratulate Jewish B2B Networking on their 2014 Business Event and extend our wishes for continued success.
