The Honorable Susanna Mendoza
City Clerk
City of Chicago
121 N. LaSalle, Room 107
Chicago, IL 60602

Dear Clerk Mendoza,

I am requesting an amendment to the record of the November 12, 2014 meeting of the Chicago City Council. During that meeting ordinance 02014-8810, an amendment of Municipal Code Section 7-12-060 modifying provisions for redemption of impounded animals, was passed in the report from the Committee on Budget and Government Operations. It was my intention to vote NO on this ordinance but because of miscommunication with the Chairman of the committee this ordinance was passed with an earlier roll call vote.

As you know Madam Clerk, I am very passionate about animal rights and have worked for many years to promote animal adoption throughout Chicago which is why I am in opposition to this ordinance. Please have the record amended with an asterisk to indicate my intention was to vote no.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at 773-836-0036.

Nicholas Sposato Alderman 36lh Ward

Sincerely,
