BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
 
SECTION 1. Title 17 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by changing all of the Ml-1 Limited Manufacturing/Business Park District symbols and indications as shown on Map No. 7-K in the area bounded by
 
 
A line 75 feet north of and parallel to West Barry Avenue; a line 209 feet east of and parallel to North Lowell Avenue; West Barry Avenue; North Lowell Avenue.

The undersigned certifies that he has complied with the requirements of Section 17-13-0107 of the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, by sending written notice to such property owners who appear to be the owners of the property within the subject area not solely owned by the applicant, and to the owners of all property within 250 feet in each direction of the lot line of the subject property, exclusive of public roads, streets, alleys and other public ways, or a total distance limited to 400 feet. Said "written notice" was sent by First Class U.S. Mail, no more than 30 days before filing the application.
 
The undersigned certifies that the notice contained the address of the property sought to be rezoned; a statement of the intended use of the property; the name and address ofthe applicant; the name and address of the owner; and a statement that the applicant intends to file the application for a change in zoning on approximately December 4,2014.

PROJECTDESCRIPTION FOR THE "TYPE 1" ZONING AMENDMENT FOR THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3101 N. LOWELL AVENUE, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
 
 
Kidwatch Plus, Inc., an Illinois Not-For-Profit corporation proposes a zoning amendment from Ml-1 to Bl-1 to allow for the operation of a 8,718 square foot Day Care center at 3101 N. Lowell Avenue (the "Project"). The Project is intended to serve the area's residents and businesses by offering a new, convenient child care option. The Day Care center will care for children aged infant to 12 years old. Kidwatch expects to have 18 employees on site at the Project. The lot is 15,675 sq/ft and the building is 8,718 sq/ft, including a proposed 300 sq/ft addition on the northeast elevation, giving the Project a floor area ratio of .53.
There will be no residential component to the Project. The Project will contain 4 off-street parking spaces and 6 diagonal parking spaces located on West Barry Avenue.
 
The building is setback 9 feet from North Lowell Avenue on the west with no set backs on the north and south elevations. There is a 7,261 sq/ft paved parking lot on the property adjacent to the east side of the Project building. The building is 13'9.5" in height.
