Resolution

WHEREAS, Linda Creighton joined the police force on December 13,1993, and retired from the Chicago Police Department on January 15, 2014, following twenty-one years of dedicated public service; and

WHEREAS, the Chicago City Council has been informed of this special event by the Honorable Jo Ann Thompson, Alderman of the 16^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Officer Linda Creighton, Star #5862, gave twenty-one years in service to the public of the city of Chicago, through which she was able to contribute mightily to the health and vibrance of our city; and

WHEREAS, the leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered this tenth day of December 2014, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to Officer Linda Creighton as she retires from twenty-one years of outstanding service to the people of this great city and we extend our very best wishes for her continued success and fulfillment; and

Be It Further Resolved, that suitable copies of this resolution be prepared and presented to Linda Creighton and her family.
