We are filing with your office for introduction at the January 21, 2015, City Council meeting as a transmittal to the Mayor and City Council of Chicago the recommendation of the Commission on Chicago Landmarks that the Sears, Roebuck and Co. District be designated as a Chicago Landmark.

Sears, Roebuck and Co. District
WHEREAS, pursuant to the procedures set forth in the Municipal Code of Chicago (the "Municipal Code"), Sections 2-120-630 through -690, the Commission on Chicago Landmarks (the "Commission") has determined that the Sears, Roebuck and Co. District (the "District"), predominantly located at 3301 to 3333 W. Arthington St. and 900 to 931 S. Homan Ave., Chicago, Illinois, as depicted on Exhibit A and legally described on Exhibit B, both attached hereto and incorporated herein, satisfies six (6) criteria for landmark designation as set forth in Sections 2-120-620 (1), (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7) ofthe Municipal Code; and
