SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE


WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2015 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to the City for various purposes; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events has been awarded additional private grant funds in the amount of $8,000 by the Terra Foundation for American Art which shall be used for the Chicago Cultural Center Exhibition; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Fleet and Facility Management ("2FM") has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $140,000 by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency which shall be used for the Chicago Area Green Fleet Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through 2FM has been awarded state grant funds in the amount of $100,000 by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity which shall be used for the Mechanical Systems Upgrade Grant Management Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Family and Support Services ("DFSS") has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $15,276,000 by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families which shall be used for the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through DFSS has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $877,000 by the Illinois Department of Human Services which shall be used for the Subsidized and Transitional Employment Demonstration; and
