ORDINANCE


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1. Title 17 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by changing all of the C2-1 Motor Vehicle-Related Commercial District, B3-1.5 Community Shopping District and RS3 Residential Single-Unit (Detached House) District symbols and indications as shown on Map No. 18-H in the area bounded by


West 75th Place (also known as West 75th Street); South Ashland Avenue; West 76th Street; the public alley next west of and parallel to South Ashland Avenue,


to those of a B3-1.5 Community Shopping District.


SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and due publication.

In accordance with the requirements for an Amendment to the Chicago Zoning Ordinance, specifically Section 17-13-0107, please be informed that on or about March 6, 2015, the undersigned will file an application for a change in zoning from:

C2-1, B3-1.5, RS-3 shall be changed to B3-1.5 on behalf of the applicant, AAIM Ashland, LLC, located at 1250 Derby Rd., Lemont, IL 60439, for the property located at 7520 - 7558 S. Ashland Ave., Chicago, IL 60620 (lot size 43,474 square foot). AAIM Ashland, LLC is solely owned and managed by Rasha Ata, whose address is 12570 Derby Rd., Lemont, IL 60465. Rasha Ata is also the owner of the property.

The existing 15,000 square foot 1 story building on the north end of the property will be reduced to 10,000 square foot. The height of the building is currently 17 foot and will increase to 29 foot. This building will be used for a retail store.
