RESOLUTION



WHEREAS, Andrew James has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 51; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Kenilworth, Andrew James the loving and devoted husband of Candace; and

WHEREAS, Andrew James was the much-adored father of Samantha and Libby to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Born in Indianapolis, Indiana to James and Muffi, Andrew James was the dear brother of James, Jr. and Jennifer; and

WHEREAS, Andrew James graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans and Indiana University's School of Law; and

WHEREAS, Andrew James began his career at the Chicago law firm of Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella where he excelled as a litigator and rose to become a partner; and

WHEREAS, Andrew James later became involved in commercial real estate; and

WHEREAS, Andrew James most recently embarked on a third career as the Chief Executive Officer of PM Rx, a medical marijuana firm; and

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Andrew James serve as an example to all; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Andrew James to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, Andrew James was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Andrew James imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twentieth day of May, 2015, do hereby commemorate Andrew James for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
