BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:


SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 2-8-065(c)(l) ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago ("Code"), the appropriate city departments are hereby authorized and directed to waive, in full, all fees incurred after November 5, 2015 related to zoning, landmarks, demolition, permits to use water, services provided by the office of underground coordination, building permits, official house number certificates, driveways, curb cut-outs, alley vacation, storm water review, storm sewer permits and public way use permits otherwise required to be paid by the below-named governmental entity in connection with the new construction and relocation and rehabilitation of building(s) at the following locations:

The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority ("MPEA")
McCormick Place Hotel and ABC Building ("Hotel Property") (located on the 3.00 East Cermak Parcel and ABC Building Parcel, as described in Exhibit B to an ordinance passed on March 5, 2014 and published at pages 75299-7530 of the Journal of the Proceedings of the City Council of the City of Chicago of that date), and related open space and streetscapes at such Hotel Property;
McCormick Place Event Center (located on the block bounded by 21st Street, Prairie Avenue, Cermak Road and Indiana Avenue)
The locations identified in items (i) through (v) below, for work limited to creating physical connections between those locations and the locations identified in items (1) through (3) of this Section 1:

Corporate Office (bridge connection)
Parking Lot A (pedway through garage to campus)
Conference Center (pedway connection to campus)
Energy Center (connection of utility piping)
Storm Sewer Improvements in the Public Right-of-Way
Provided, however, that the fee waivers authorized under this section shall not apply in connection with any monies owed by the City to any third party for any service provided to the City by such third party under the department of building's developer services program or under any other city program.

As a continued condition to the grant of this waiver: Said building(s) and all appurtenances thereto shall be used exclusively to carry out the MPEA's statutory and corporate purpose(s); all work thereon requiring the submission of plans shall be done in accordance with plans submitted to and approved by the appropriate city department; all required permits and licenses shall be obtained; and said building(s) and all appurtenances thereto shall be constructed and maintained in compliance with the applicable provisions of this Code and any rules and regulations duly promulgated thereunder.



SECTION 2. The MPEA shall submit to the Office of Budget and Management ("OBM"), on a quarterly basis, a written report summarizing the number and type of fee waivers granted to the MPEA under Section 1 of this ordinance, and the amount of each fee so waived. Such written report shall be submitted in a manner and form acceptable to
OBM.



SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take full force and effect upon its passage and approval and shall be in force until December 31, 2017.
