ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Section 9-64-080 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting the language underscored, as follows:

9-64-080 Parking restricted on certain days or hours.

(a) The commissioner of transportation is authorized, based on traffic need supported by an engineering study, to erect and maintain on any through street or street on which a bus line is operated appropriate signs indicating no parking between designated hours on either side ofthe street Monday through Friday, except on designated Federal Holidays. It shall be unlawful to stand or park any vehicle in violation of a sign erected or maintained pursuant to this subsection.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon passage and publication. /
