MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR VICTOR J. CACCIATORE, SR.

WHEREAS, Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr. made major contributions to the City of Chicago;
and
WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been informed about the contributions of Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr. by the Honorable Daniel Solis, Alderman ofthe 25th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was born and raised in Bridgeport and graduated from Mount Carmel High School. He earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from DePaul University; and
WHEREAS, He served his country in the United States Army as a Counterintelligence Corps Special Agent in France. He married the love of his life, Charlotte, in 1956; and
WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. returned from the service and took over his father's real estate firm, Jos. Cacciatore & Company. He turned Lakeside Bank into a billion dollar enterprise and expanded Elgin Sweeping Company into four states; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cacciatore was a philanthropist, donating to his alma maters Mount Carmel High School and DePaul University, where he personally gave the funds to construct Cacciatore Stadium. He also was on the Board of Trustees of DePaul University; and
WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was devoted to his famrfy and enjoyed taking them on fishing trips to Canada; and
WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was the beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Kwasigroch); the devoted father of Victor, Jr. (Josephine), Joseph (Maria), Peter, Cynthia (Roger) Bickel, Mary Beth, Gloria (Hayati) Turan, Christopher, Susan (Mark) Lasek, Philip (Joann), and Daniel; the loving son ofthe late Joseph and Gloria Cacciatore; the fond grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; the dearest brother of Angeline Ratkovich and the late Frank Cacciatore, Genevieve Panaerse, and Gloria DiGiacomo; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; now, therefore,
